UC Davis Protests Against Police-Brutality

City Council censures De León, Cedillo, Martinez after police clear out demonstrators

Tens of thousands of students gathered in front of the University of California – Davis to protest the police-brutality response to the UC Davis protests at the UC campus on Wednesday evening (Feb. 26). The protest was against police brutality and the university’s refusal to recognize the truth of the protests in light of the facts that the protesters are being murdered and are being denied medical care. Protesters also stated that they’re willing to die if the police and the university don’t stand firm on their promises to address the issues involved.

UC Davis Police Chief Steven Myhre released a statement on the protest stating that they were working with local law enforcement to get the protesters to disperse, and that the police would protect the protesters, and have made attempts to disperse the protesters without killing them.
